‘Assassin’s Creed’ News & Update: To Be A Trilogy; What We Know So Far

The “Assassin’s Creed“ movie, even though paired with a completely failing trailer still has the hopes of fans that their favorite adventure will be faithfully reenacted onto the big screen. What are the latest news surrounding the production?

Bleeding Cool reports that the “Assassin’s Creed” movie is planned to be a first part of a trilogy.
Michael Fassbender who is an actor and a producer of the motion picture hopes that the movie will spring into a trilogy. For now, they will wait for the reactions of viewers and if it manages to amass a budget, the second part will start production. This is good news for fans of the series, who will manage to see more of “Assassin’s Creed” played out on the big screen, as assassin and Templar fight for control over the world.

Considering the three part approach, Screen Crush shares some doubts on the project.
First is the fact that on opening weekend, the movie managed to make $20-$30 million, which is far from the estimated $200 million budget.

Another problem is that with the initial idea of building a series, writers and director may have switched their attention from creating a captivating product into adding remarks and hints towards future movies which may not ever appear. For now, the future of the “Assassin’s Creed” movie universe will be decided by European and eastern markets, since it did not have the needed success on U.S soil.

For the fans of both sports and gaming, Konbini has prepared some interesting news. Football team Manchester United has released a mash up video between the new “Assassin’s Creed” movie trailer and scenes of their legendary plays. The trailer is filled with quotes about victory and neither the assassin nor the famous football team are unfamiliar with it. If nothing else, the video holds at least some comedic value.
