The largest sale on Steam is finally here. Steam Winter Sale is confirmed to be on December 22.
Steam's end-of-the-year sale often referred to as the Holiday Sale, Winter Sale, and sometimes the Christmas Sale is starting this week. PayPal UK has confirmed in a tweet that the Steam Winter Sale will happen on the said date. In the beginning of the month, in a similar article, I have reported a leak about the date of the sale. The date was first became known through NeoGAF, which happens to be the date that last year's winter sale began.
The tweet about Steam Winter Sale appears to be peculiar because it does not appear in the PayPal UK Twitter feed. The post only turns up if you click it through the link. Hit the button and then you will be prompted to let off an auto-generated tweet broadcasting your insider knowledge, and revealing the date as well. It was a unique marketing strategy fashioned for this upcoming event, reported PCGamer.
The annual Autumn Sale, Steam's big sale, prior to Steam Winter Sale, started just about a month ago. The event included some incredible price drops on games such as "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, " "Dark Souls," "Life is Strange," and "Civilization 6." The sale began on the same day Valve opens the door on polling for the Steam Awards. Every day until Dec. 29, guests will have 24 hours to vote on a new category. The winners of the awards will be announced on New Year's Eve. The first category is The Villain Most in Need of a Hug Award. The nominees are "Dead by Daylight," "Far Cry 3," "Far Cry 4," "Borderlands 2," and "Portal 2."
For gamers who do not want to spend too much money, the games included in the Steam Winter Sale priced at $5 is likely to be enormous. There will be many deals varying every day, be sure to check back frequently for the latest games discounts.
