All eyes are on Apple as the anticipation increases over the upcoming release of iPhone 8. Sources suggest that the forthcoming Apple flagship unit will feature an innovative touch-sensitive technology, another first in the mobile phone industry.
According to Macrumors, Apple is ready to launch a smartphone that would exceed expectations of Apple fans and make android users think again. Apple's iPhone 8 is expected to come with a curved OLED screen. On top of that, the latest iPhone iteration will be equipped with an innovative smart touchscreen that is capable of recognizing user touch on all sides of the unit.
Reports claimed that Apple has ordered 100 million OLED display screens. Learn Bonds says that a Korean tech giant have been contracted to become Apple's sole OLED supplier in 2017. This is the closest confirmation that Apple's iPhone 8 will feature a curved display, which is currently dubbed as the best mobile phone display there is.
It is no secret that the curved display in hand phones first became popular with Samsung's Galaxy S7. Insiders say the upcoming iPhone 8 will closely resemble its competitor's top-selling mobile unit.
Apple has set a trend of selling more than 200 million iPhones every year. Hence, sources suggest that Apple will limit its curved OLED displays to their upcoming flagship unit that is expected to come in a 5.5-inch size.
More interestingly, it can be expected that Apple is looking for ways to make the upcoming iPhone 8 entirely touch sensitive from all sides and faces. This means that users can simply tap the iPhone's sides or back in order to complete any action.
One more interesting note is that Apple's iPhone 8 is expected to launch with a cutting edge 3D dual lens camera. Apple made no official announcement as to the release date but it is expected that iPhone 8 units will arrive in the market late in 2017.
