It seems like more information is trickling out each day for Gearbox's final piece of DLC for Borderlands 2, the Sir Hammerlock vs. the Son of Crawmerax Headhunter Pack. Yesterday we got a peek at some of the skins the pack will offer, and today, we've learned that the pack will release officially at tax time, April 15. It'll be available on all platforms, and like the rest of the Headhunter Packs, will go for $2.99.
This isn't the first adventure featuring the famed explorer. He was also a central figure in Borderlands 2's third DLC, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, out last January. It offered new enemies include a chieftan that can heal enemies, boroks, scaylions, and a Voracidous, "a seraph guardian stalker that is controlled by one of the game's chiefs." In addition to the new creatures, it also introduced a new vehicle, named the 'fan-boat,' which can be summoned from the Catch-A-Ride alternative, Catch-A-Boat. It came equipped with 68 customized skins, as well as corrosive, incendiary, and shock weapon mods. As Hunt's producer, James Lopez, described it, the vault hunters fought side-by-side with Sir Hammerlock to regain control of a hunting lodge, which would then serve as the campaign's central hub from where Hammerlock will distribute missions once the lodge has been re-taken.
Besides the date and a look at the skins, there hasn't been much else that's been released in the way of information. Thankfully, Gearbox has also shared a nice bit of video footage with IGN, showing off the adventure the Pandoran Dr. Livingstone will be sending the Vault Hunters on. You can check it out below.
