The "Destiny" live event, The Dawning, is currently ongoing, and introduced the Sparrow Racing League, Strike Scoring and two exotic heavy machine guns. "Destiny" players can acquire the Void and Solar versions of the Thunderlord exotic by following the steps below.
Getting the New "Destiny" Heavy Machine Guns Via Quests
GameRant reported that the two heavy machine guns in "Destiny" are called Nova Mortis and Abaddon. Players have to reach Rank 7 in The Dawning Record Book to begin the quest that will lead to the two items. They will eventually be rewarded with the Xur's Tag, an item that lets them open Xur's Gift on the upper terrace of the Tower. When the gift is opened in "Destiny," it will award the Tattered Schematic item and provide a quest to the player's inventory.
"Destiny" gamers have to talk to Ikoa Rey first, and then move to the Vanguard to talk to Ikora, who will send players to the Gunsmith. Return to the main plaza of the Tower and talk to the Gunsmith, who will provide the next task in the quest.
Getting the Void ability skills can be done in any activity. "Destiny" players are advised to go to The Dark Beyond story mission and go through the "You've woken the Hive!" mission. Kill the Hive exiting the door using a Void subclass, grenades, supers and melee. Die and respawn repeatedly until everything is finished then go back to Banshee-44 to take the next step in the "Destiny" quest.
Claiming the Nova Mortis and Abbadon
Eurogamer wrote that players have to finish the Abomination Heist in "Destiny: Rise of Iron." Go to the Director, choose the Moon and then the Summoning Pits Strike. Adjust the difficulty to the 320 Light version, which will start the Abomination Heist. After finishing the heist, return and talk to Ikora Rey who will award the Nova Mortis at 370 Light.
After earning the first heavy machine gun, go to Commander Zavala to get the quest for the Abbadon. Talk to the Gunsmith then return to The Dark Beyond to get ability kills again. For Abbadon, "Destiny" players have to use a Solar subclass. Complete the Shield Brothers Strike and go back to Commander Zavala to claim the Abbadon.
