Virtual reality (VR)-gaming is just starting to take off and gain popularity around the world. Because of this, there are talks that Electronic Arts (EA) Games will be releasing a VR-capable edition of the "The Sims 5."
Although EA Games just recently released the new downloadable content pack "City Living" for "The Sims 4," fans are already clamoring for another title. There are rumors circulating that EA might just drop "The Sims 5" in 2018 and for the first time ever, it may include VR technology and 360-degree features.
This is extremely exciting because this will allow gamers to experience the Sims world in a way that has never been possible before. A VR-capable "The Sims 5" could perhaps let the gamer see and live life through the eyes of a Sim. The 360-degree feature also strongly adds to this case. These two new elements could completely revolutionize "The Sims" franchise.
"The Sims 4" did not turn out as successful as EA Games initially expected so they might offer something completely new in "The Sims 5." This is to regain the trust and happiness of the gamers who could be getting tired of the same old set-up game after game.
It is strongly believed that "The Sims 5" will be launched on the last quarter of 2017. This goes against the usual trend of "The Sims" releases in five-year intervals. The first title was sold in 2002, followed by "The Sims 2" in 2004, "The Sims 3" in 2009, and finally "The Sims 4" in 2014.
As of now, however, EA Games has not confirmed the development of the said title. Fans will just have to wait for more announcements. What other features would you like to see on "The Sims 5"?
