Nintendo released several new promotional materials for "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" that hinted of a potential new gameplay feature. It appears that the upcoming game may include changing seasons as teased in a new holiday clip.
"Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is set to amaze gamers with its vast world and scenic environments. Previously released teasers already showed some of the breathtaking sights that players may soon see in the upcoming Nintendo game.
Recently, the gaming company released a holiday-themed teaser that included scenes of Link snowboarding down a mountain using his shield. Posted on Nintendo's website, the clip also contained a holiday message that read, "A Link to holidays past... and those yet to come ... Happy holidays and a legendary New Year."
Moreover, Nintendo also updated its "Legend of Zelda" Facebook page to announce its plans to regularly unveil screenshots from the game. The move is part of the company's promotional activities to hype up "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" until its release date.
As the game's first Facebook reveal screenshot, Nintendo uploaded an image of Link standing on top of a hill overlooking several trees. With some of the leaves depicted in red and orange hues, the said scene teased of an autumn setting.
Given the two recently released promo materials that separately showed a winter and autumn-like setting, many fans speculated that the upcoming Nintendo game may include seasonal environments. Gaming speculations posted on iDigital Times even highlighted the company's inclination to utilize images or elements that typically serve a specific purpose.
Other speculations pointed to Nintendo simply showcasing the various in-game locations in "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Some areas in the upcoming game may have snowcapped mountains while others may feature a greener surrounding depending on the location.
"Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is speculated to be released in June 2017 for the WiiU and Nintendo Switch. Watch the game's holiday clip below:
