Titanfall Alpha Footage Shows Off Insane Multiplayer Battles

Right now, right this very second, lucky gamers are playing Titanfall on Xbox One. Respawn Entertainment is currently holding an alpha beta in order to stress test the servers, although invites to this exciting event were extremely limited. Some folks are capturing gameplay footage and while EA isn't happy - this is alpha footage after all, and not indicitive of the final product- the multiplayer looks thrilling as can be.

Honestly. Just watch this ten minute clip and you'll forget all about the complaints about 12-player matches. While yes, six on six doesn't seem like a whole lot of people the footage clearly shows that the action is almost nonstop. And the graphics, as amazing as they look, have apparently been scaled down. Respawn noted that the textures were reduced to 25% resolution for the alpha. The final game will allow you to customize the load-outs of both you pilots and Titans, which should make things even more replayable.

This level is called Angel City and the mode is Domination, which will be familiar with anyone who's played multiplayer in the past few years. Both teams are trying to take and control three different key points. Of course, the key difference here is that besides the incredible mobility and weapons of your pilot characters you can call in Titans to join the battle. When they come slamming into the ground (the Titanfall of the name) the game really gets going. Watching a group of titans smashing into each other, unloading giant round into each other- oh, it's exciting stuff. Stay tuned till the end to see what happens when two pilots eject near each other from damaged titans.

Another exciting bit of news- there's the possibility of an open beta for the game. While it's set to release in March they still need to test those servers (this will surely be the Xbox One's biggest hit yet) and the community manager for Respawn, Abbie Heppe, is talking on twitter that there's a possibility of a beta.

Regardless, we're going to get our hands on Titanfall soon. Just two more months till it hits Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC..
