Naughty Dog does what it says. As promised, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" update 1.18 is now live and the new Survival Mode comes for free! Players say that it's a 3.8GB download; huge but just enough to cover the massive expansion that has a new cooperative mode and a plethora of options for multiplayer gameplay.
What The "Uncharted 4" Update 1.18 Offers
"Uncharted 4's" Update 1.18 has players face off against 50 increasingly challenging waves on 10 maps, set hoards of enemies, objective scenarios and boss battles. According to the game's official website, Survival lets you earn XP to unlock rewards and of course, play solo or in co-op. According to Naughty Dog, each stage should take players around 15 to 20 minutes to clear.
GameSpot reports that "Uncharted 4's" Survival is not all about slaughtering enemies. Five different types of objectives are available, which includes Boss Waves (kill pirate ghosts), Marked Man (kill a certain target), Siege (kill enemies from a particular spot), Survival (kill everyone) and Treasure Race, which lets players collect treasures.
In the Boss Waves, players begin in a cinematic intro that sets up the particular villain, such as Henry Avery. "Uncharted 4" lets pirates use their mystical abilities, each having its own specific tactic. Survival supports up to three players online, although no splitscreen option is available.
"Uncharted 4" Multiplayer
The new multiplayer content includes Prison and Trainwreck, "Uncharted 4's" two brand new maps. Moreover, King of the Hill mode is also added. Players will progress through 10 more levels; new weapons are in store, warrior and biker skins, and there is a significant price drop on some chests.
Naughty Dog announced in PSX 2016 that a new standalone story chapter starring Chloe and Nadine will launch in 2017 called "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy," along with a hardcore version of Survival. To view the full patch notes, head on to Uncharted the Game.
