Episode 70 of "Dragon Ball Super" delivered a light tone after the long-running arc of Future Trunks, Goku Black and Zamasu. The filler episode focused on a baseball game between Yamcha and the team if Champa. Also, the life of Son Goku might be in danger in episode 71 since a being from Universe 6 is out to get him.
There were a lot of funny moments during the previous episode of "Dragon Ball Super," and it also pays tribute to one of the most known characters in the franchise which is Yamcha. He used to join the battle of Son Goku and the gang against villains like Cell and Majiin Buu. However, the fighter could not keep up with their power which led him to always dying. With this, the character also became a meme.
One of the moments that really struck a nostalgic note for fans in episode 70 of "Dragon Ball Super" was when Yamcha did his infamous death pose at the end of the episode. Krillin and Piccolo even thought that Yamcha's pose was familiar and remembered some moments when it actually occurred. There were other funny scenes as well where Vegeta was willing to execute a Final Flash against Goku in order to prove that he is better than him. Overall, the creators of episode 70 were really a fan service for the Yamcha enthusiasts.
Meanwhile, a preview for episode 71 was already released and it seems that Son Goku might be at risk since Hit is after him. The motivations of the villain are still unknown, but the character always had a reputation of being one of the deadliest assassins of Universe 6. Hit is one of the strongest fighters that Son Goku has encountered before, and he is actually capable of killing the hero. Surely, someone sent Hit in order to eliminate the main protagonist of "Dragon Ball Super," and it will possible be revealed in the next episode.
Episode 71 of "Dragon Ball Super is titled, "Goku Dies! Assassination Order That Must Be Performed" while episode 72 is named "Counterattack!? An Unforeseen Assassination Technique!!" Meanwhile the English version of the show will premiere on Jan 7, 2017 at 8 p.m. ET in Toonami.
