Xiaomi Mi Mix and Oppo R9s were announced in October. While the former released in November, the latter released in October itself. Both the phones have some pretty impressive specs and features up their sleeves and here we will be comparing the two to find out which one is suited for what.
In terms of display, processor and battery specs, the Xiaomi Mi Mix has an upper hand. It has a 6.4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and Adreno 530 GPU. The Oppo R9s sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, reviews GSMArena.

The Xiaomi handset comes with a mega 4,400 mAH non-removable Li-Ion battery which is pretty impressive. The Oppo R9s packs a non-removable Li-Po 3,010 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor of the Mi Mix handset is rear-mounted whereas that of the R9s is front-mounted.
The 128GB internal storage Mi Mix variant sports a 4GB RAM and the 256GB sports a 6GB RAM. No microSD card slot is provided. The Oppo R9s has 64GB internal storage capacity and comes with a 4GB RAM. The microSD slot can expand the storage capacity up to 256GB. The Mi Mix has a ceramic chassis with fingerprint sensor on board. The Oppo R9s has a metallic chassis and fingerprint scanner and is lighter in weight than the Xiaomi phone.
Both the Oppo R9s and Xiaomi Mi Mix sport 16MP primary cameras. However, the Mi Mix handset has a 5MP selfie camera and this is where Oppo takes a lead. It sports a massive 16MP front camera with f/2.0.
As per CNET, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 128GB model costs roughly $510. The Oppo R9s costs approximately $410. The choice depends on the specs requirements of a user.
