Blizzard has officially kicked off the holiday season with its "Overwatch: Winter Wonderland" edition. It will run until Jan. 2 of next year, and brings to the table over 100 cosmetic items and skins, Mei's Snowball Offensive as well as highly anticipated updates for the game. This includes the "Stay as Team" feature and new abilities for Symmetra.
Like with all updates, this "Overwatch: Winter Wonderland" pack is free as well. It's a worthwhile update especially if players are up to collecting, well, collectibles. More importantly, all unlocked customization options will be theirs forever, meaning they can get into the Christmas spirit all year long.
Winter loot boxes
One worthwhile feature in the "Overwatch: Winter Wonderland" update are the Winter Loot boxes, which can either be earned or purchased. Each box contains one item from the "Winter Wonderland" collection, such as emotes, highlight intros, skins, sprays, victory poses, profile icons and more, according to the official Overwatch blog. Once they're unlocked, they will be available forever for the player.
Snow brawl
Another important feature in the "Overwatch: Winter Wonderland" update is the introduction of the Snowball Offensive. It's a six versus six players, single-elimination competition featuring the climatologist Mei. The objective of this game is to take down as many enemies as they can. Here, Mei's Endothermic Blaster fires a single, superpowered snowball--not like her previous stream of frost or icicles. Players can also activate her semi-automatic snowball launcher.

Among the many features included in the "Overwatch: Winter Wonderland" that players ought to look out for are the epic skins for Andres Lucio, Scrooge McCree, Mei-rry Mei, Frostbite Pharah, Peppermint Sombra, Frosted Zarya, Jingle Tracer and Santaclad Torbjorn.
