Konami today announced that Platinum's hit game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will get a PC release date next month. The game will come with with upgrades and all the available DLC and be ready to download on January 9th, 2014.
From the press release- "Developed by Kojima Productions and PlatinumGames, METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE takes the renowned METAL GEAR franchise into exciting new territory with an all-new action experience. The game seamlessly melds pure action and epic story-telling that surrounds Raiden, a child soldier transformed into a half-human, half-cyborg ninja who uses his High Frequency katana blade to cut through any thing that stands in his vengeful path."
The katana blade is definitely the highlight of the game and it seems to not hestitate to throw lots of easily sliced and diced enemies in your path.
The PC version will come with the full experience that Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers got, along with all of the available DLC. There are three new mission packs available - Blade Wolf, Jetstream, and VR Missions, and this version will even come with all of the optional customized body upgrades for Raiden - White Armor, Inferno Armor, Commando Armor, Raiden's MGS4 body, and, of course, Cyborg Ninja.
The game will also offer upgraded visuals if your PC can handle it, with the ability to modify resolution, anti-aliasing and the amount of cuts you can make with the new Zandeki option. You can now adjust the difficulty to make the game tougher or easier and there will be a menu option tha tlets you replay all of the cutscenes and codec coversations, because everyone knows sitting through cutscenes in Metal Gear is always thrilling. You'll also be able to replay any of the boss battles at whim.
That's already a helluva deal for PC gamers, especially since Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will cost $30 at release, but if you preorder today you can get it for 33 percent off for a total of $19.99. Tomorrow and every other day till release the discount will drop to 20 percent off.
