Year 2017 is nearing and reports about the next offerings of both Samsung and Apple continue to surface on the web and social media sites. Now, Korean tech giant is rumored to offer first a feature which Apple will also reportedly introduce for its device.
Edge-to-edge display
For the Galaxy S8 release next year, Samsung is believed to introduce an all-glass screen offering users a bigger display and a better smartphone experience. Having this kind of screen will do away with the bezel and home button on the front of the device.
Earlier rumors also indicated that Apple could come with the same display technology for the iPhone 8. This will also give the phone a bigger end-to-end display.
If both tech companies will come up with this kind of display offering, the question is, who will offer it first? Many believe that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have an earlier release date in April 2017 compared to the iPhone 8 which could be launched in five months later.
iPhone 8 features and specs
Apple's iPhone 8 is thought to come with really exciting features as Apple would be celebrating the 10th year anniversary of its smartphones. It was earlier indicated that the company could highly skip the iPhone 7s to introduce an explosive iPhone 8.
Its expected features and specifications include a Touch ID sensor on the screen and wireless charging support. In addition, it may also come with a dual-camera on its rear just like the iPhone 7 Plus.
What to expect for the Samsung Galaxy S8?
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S8 could eliminate the usual headphone jack and replace it with a USB C port. Also, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip for optimum performance.
The two devices are promising to be the next-generation of smartphones in the market. Which do you think will be a better device, the iPhone 8 or the Samsung Galaxy S8?
