I think I'd really hate to spend the holidays with Activision, because apparently, nothing says Christmas to the publisher quite like a snapping wolf chasing you down just so their master can raise his killstreak.
Foy anyone who cheered when the wolf ate Little Red Riding Hood's grandma, you'll be happy to know that as of today, you can grab some DLC that changes your cuddly guard dog pup into a vicious, snarling beast of white death. Great for those snowy multiplayer maps like Antarctica.

The DLC is out now for Xbox consoles first, priced at $1.99.
For those of you looking for something a bit more Christmas-y, remember that Xmas gun camo we told you about? Well, that's been confirmed as a part of Ghosts' "Festive Personalization Pack." In addition to the camo, purchasers will also get a player patch, player background, player card, and a reticle. Like the Wolf DLC, the pack is available today. Unlike the Wolf DLC, it's open on all platforms, but act quick. The offer only stands until December 18.
For you grinches crying "humbug" at the holidays, there's something better for you to look forward to. Tomorrow, the luckiest of all days, Friday the 13th, begins Call of Duty: Ghosts' "Extinction Day."
It's a worldwide celebration of death and destruction, with a particular emphasis on bloodletting of any and all otherworldly invaders.
As described by Ghosts Elite, "This is essentially a global community event that will feature gameplay livestreams, an exclusive IGN Live broadcast and an exclusive 'Question & Answer' with the developers from Infinity Ward allowing you to finally interact with the creators of Call of Duty Ghosts and ask them the questions that have been on your mind since the release of Ghosts. Along with a Q & A, this will also be a first-time-look at some of the latest and newest features being released soon to the Extinction game mode."

If all that sounds boring, here's the kicker. Extinction Day marks the first Double XP Weekend for the Call of Duty: Ghosts' Extinction mode. Name makes sense now, huh?
Call of Duty: Ghosts takes place in a near future following an attack from space that leaves Los Angeles virtually wiped out, and the United States' infrastructure devastated. Years later, the country is invaded by a new superpower, a conglomerate of South American nations calling itself the "Federation." What's left of America's special forces have come together to form the titular "Ghosts," and it's up to them to wage guerrilla warfare against the Federation in order to protect what remains of the United States, and drive the Federation out.
Beyond the campaign, the game's multiplayer mode, which promises a slew of different customization options for weapons, character camos, and more. Over 30 new weapons are included alongside old favorites like the UMP45 and the M4A1.
Despite not the best reviews ever for a Call of Duty game, Ghosts was a hit right out of the gate. We learned recently that Ghosts is the most played multiplayer game in the world.
The game is out now for PC, PS3 and PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and Nintendo's Wii U.
