"Nier: Automata" is an RPG mixed with action-game elements set in a post-apocalyptic world. The game features the war amongst the remaining humans and a mechanical army from an unknown world. Humanity is fighting to reclaim what they lost through YoRHa androids. They are controlled remotely through an orbital base above earth called the "Bunker." The androids are programmed to create a self-sufficient opposition to defeat the machine invaders.
Some of the characters featured in "Nier: Automata" are YoRHa Number 2 Model B a female android with a calm and composed personality. She appears as a blindfolded young girl with silver hair, dressed in a gothic Lolita outfit and wields different swords. YoRHa Number 9 Model S is an emotional reconnaissance android that looks like a young boy with a blindfold and uses a two-handed sword. Lastly, YoRHa Model A Number 2 is reportedly a prototype that prefers to function alone. She appears as a girl with long silver hair with a tight fitting dress and appears proficient with a great sword and a katana.
Square Enix will be releasing "Nier: Automata" for Japan on Feb. 23, 2017, North America on March 7, 2017 and Europe on March 10, 2017. A PC version was also confirmed but no exact release date was announced.
