"Apple Watch Series" or also known as "Apple Watch 2" is the second version of the most successful smartwatch around. The watch was Apple's first draft at a wearable, and plenty bought into the promise of a phone on your wrist.
Apple shared four new ads recently and amongst them was "Apple Watch". The ads originally debuted last month, but only hit Apple' s YouTube channel last weekend. According to Mashable, reports and reviews from users and tech speculators shows that "Apple Watch" Series 2 is doing great and looks to be one of the most popular holiday gifts this year. The current Sales growth is off the charts. In fact, during the first week of holiday shopping, the sell-through of "Apple Watch 2" was greater than any week in the product’s history.
Fox News reports that the first hardware update to the "Apple Watch" since it was introduced in April of 2015 is remain unchanged, except for being slightly thicker to accommodate a larger battery. Otherwise, the Apple Watch Series 2 is faster– due to new silicon– features built-in GPS (to make it more independent of the iPhone) and is now waterproof. It's also a good fitness and health tracker, it can handle email and messaging, take phone calls, and be used as a digital wallet via Apple Pay.
New Watch packages like the Apple Watch Nike+ are attractive because they're no more expensive than the cheapest "Apple Watch 2", and come with recognized branding and cool bands. "Apple Watch Series 1" is still being sold at the minimum of $269 while "Apple Watch series 2" is at $369.
The "Apple Watch Series 2" has a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool. It is also safe to wear it while showering or in a hot tub. But note that "Apple Watch Series 2" should not be used for scuba diving, water-skiing, or other activities involving high-velocity water, 9 to 5 Mac reports.
The "Apple Watch Series 2" comes in three models: the least expensive aluminum model that starts at $369; the stainless steel model that starts at $549; and a ceramic model that starts at $1,249.
