Those looking for a game to sink their teeth into - or, more appropriately, get their hands busy with - have a lot of December releases to look forward to. The top 5 anticipated games are listed below.
Available on both Mac and PC as well as on mobile platforms, "Demon Hunter 3: Revelation", the newest addition to the Demon Hunter franchise, has the lead character once again joining forces with Officer Arthur Brown as they delve into another murder case. At first glance, the case looks nothing out of the ordinary, but certain clues reveal yet another supernatural connection.
"Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" is the third installment in this fighting game franchise and is considered one of the most widely anticipated releases not just for the month of December but the entire year as well. It's not entirely surprising, considering how its predecessor debuted in 2000, which is more than a decade ago. The newest installment introduces a dozen new characters, including a couple of Marvel heroes that have enjoyed recent popularity such as Doctor Strange and Hawkeye. As with previous installments, the three-versus-three format has still been retained but "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" also introduces new features such as Spectator Mode, which enables players to enjoy viewing online matches without causing any disruptions.
Also releasing this December is "Dead Rising 4", the fourth installment in the beat-'em-up horror franchise, which is also produced by Capcom. Although "Dead Rising 3" was released in 2013, there is only a one-year gap between its storyline and that of "Dead Rising 4". As with the previous installments, the game still features Frank West as its lead character.
The PS Vita version of "Demetrios - The BIG Cynical Adventure" is also releasing this December and offers the exact content and gameplay from the PC version. Other excellent features offered include but aren't limited to 1080P fully hand-drawn graphics, a whole slew of mini-games, and exciting global locations spanning all the way from Europe to Africa.
Last but not the least is "Hitman 2016", with a scheduled December 31 release. What makes this newest addition to the shooter game franchise particularly special is the fact that it will also serve as the franchise's prequel.
