"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is one of the biggest games that is due to be released in 2017 and aside from the game, three novels will also be launched alongside it. The developers behind the upcoming game, BioWare have partnered up with Titan Books and they are planning to release a trilogy.
It was mentioned in the reports of Eurogamer that the first of the three novels will be available in the bookstores on March 28, 2017. The book series based on "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will start off with "Mass Effect: Nexus Uprising," and the novel will be written by K.C. Alexander and Jason M. Hough. Meanwhile, the second book, "Mass Effect: Annihilation" will be written by Catherynne M. Valente and it is expected to be launched during summer of 2017. As for the third book, it is titled "Mass: Effect Initiation" which will be spearheaded by N.K. Jemesin.
Furthermore, "Mass Effect Initiation" was supposed to be the first novel of the book series, but it will come out on fall of 2017 instead. Story details about the upcoming novels have not been disclosed yet so players will not be spoiled for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" since they are closely connected. Originally, a fourth novel was actually planned and the person who was supposed to write it was Mac Walters which is the creative director of the game. However, Walters may still be finding time to squeeze the book despite his busy schedule.
Walters has also mentioned that his original plan for the fourth book is that it would directly link to the film, but he was asked to be the creative director of "Mass Effect: Andromeda." BioWare is not pushing the idea of the film and the fourth novel off the table; however, the developers are still putting their efforts with the upcoming game. The company is also still trying to see the outcome of the three novels that will be released soon.
Meanwhile, new gameplay footage was released for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and it showcases the plot, the Nomad ship, and the new main character of the title. The game is slated to be released during spring of 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
