News of a renewal for "Girl Meets World" Season 4 has been circulating the web since the popular Disney show wrapped up its season finale, but its future remains up for grabs. Apparently, the American coming-of-age series has yet to get the green light for a fourth season, which has led to stars Rowan Blanchard and August Maturo to call on Disney to save "Girl Meets World" Season 4. Will this end in a happy ending for everyone?
Desperate times, desperate measures
The situation looks dire for "Girl Meets World" Season 4, as Disney has yet to confirm its renewal. As such, the show's actors--Rowan Blanchard (Riley Matthews), August Maturo (Auggie Matthews) and Cheryl Texiera--have been taking matters into their own hands: launching massive Twitter #GirlMeetsWorldSeason4 and #GMW4 campaigns to appeal to fans to ensure that they continue to have the chance to have a "voice of hope."
Just Jared Jr. reported that Cheryl Texiera, who currently plays Maya's mother in the series, had even written a letter to Disney Channel appealing for a "Girl Meets World" Season 4. She wrote that the show was mainly about camaraderie, not just within the cast and crew but also with the fans. She added that "Girl Meets World" was all about family and friends and a coming-of-age tale "that needed to be told."
What caused 'Girl Meets World' Season 4 cancellation rumors
What sparked the news about the show's cancellation had been rumors of Blanchard's attitude on set. It was previously reported that she and costar Sabrina Carpenter (Maya Hart) were engaged in a feud, which they have since put to rest after posting a selfie together on social media. Other "Girl Meets World" Season 4 rumors include the actors maturing for their roles.
