Say it with me now, and really try to feel it: Faaaahn...Daaahn...GOOOO. No, that's not it at all, but you won't need to pronounce this sashaying wrassler's name correctly to play as him (though, that would be the worst Kinect feature ever). Fandango and current Intercontinental Cha,pion Big E. Langston hit WWE 2K14 this month as DLC playable characters, provided of course you grab the WWE Superstars and Moves pack.
Interested players can get the pack for $7.99, but like all the other DLC, the pack is free to Season Pass holders. Besides these two superstars, the pack also includes the WWE Divas Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, and Fandango's dancing partner Summer Rae for those of you that want to do some weird, "Dancing With the Stars" WWE crossover thing.
As the name of the DLC suggests, more than 30 new moves and taunts are offered in the DLC, including AJ Lee's Black Widow and CM Punk's Koji Clutch.
The first two pieces of DLC, the nwo pack and Accelerator are currently available to players for $8.99 and $1.99 respectively.
As you may have guessed, the nWo Pack offers some of the group's more illustrious members as playable characters: Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Syxx, Curt Hennig, Scott Steiner and The Giant. The Accelerator is a sort of speed-up option for players who'd rather not waste their time earning the game's items and attributes, giving all of them at once to gamers, provided they pay for them.
Once the Superstars and Moves Pack hits, gamers have at least one more piece of DLC to look forward to, the "WWE Legends and Creations Pack." Scheduled for a worldwide release in January 2014, $8.99 nets players the following:
- WWE Hall of Famers: Bruno Sammartino and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes
- Legendary WWE Superstars: "Ravishing" Rick Rude and Jake "The Snake" Roberts
- Playable Superstar: WWE Manager and pop culture icon Virgil (available free of charge, even though I'm sure he needs the money)
- Custom Superstar Parts Pack: 15 new Superstar parts to utilize for the most creative freedom in WWE Games history
Players can grab the Season Pass for $19.99, and will save them 25 percent on the game's incoming DLC. It also offers exclusive content in the form of branding Scott Hall and Kevin Nash in their "Outsiders" garb.
WWE 2K14 is currently available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It maintains a rating of 76 from aggregate score site Metacritic.
