BGR reported that the Skybuds are racing against the Apple AirPods by offering great sound, a sleek appearance and a carrying case that doubles as a portable charger. The Skybuds showcases an ergonomic fit and is sweat-proof and water-resistant.
The Skybuds can play for four straight hours before recharging is required. The Skybuds offer premium sound and reliable connectivity.
Each Skybud provides four hours of listening playback and 24 hours on-the-go battery life via the sky dock. Users can use the digital microphone for calls as well. The Skybuds come in white, black and silver and cost at least $180.
The Jabra Elite Sport boasts of superior quality wireless sound quality for both music and calls, as well as advanced wireless connectivity. The Jabra Elite Sport features an intuitive cord-free design with two microphones in each bud that work together to get rid of background noise. As a result, only the user's voice is clearly audible.
The earphones offer up to 9 hours of battery life, composed of three hours of initial music and talk time, followed by two extra charges via the on-the-go portable charging case. The Jabra Elite Sport offers a secure and comfortable fit with its cord-free wearing design. There are several ear gel and ear wing sizes.
The Jabra Elite Sport also features the Jabra Sport Life, an integrated fitness app with an in-ear precision heart rate monitor that tracks and analyzes the user's fitness. The app also offers personalized audio coaching during workouts. The earphones are waterproof, and have a three-year warranty against sweat damage. Everything is priced at $250.
Apple AirPods Coming Soon
The Apple AirPods primarily feature the Apple W1 chip that offers efficient wireless for better sound and reliable connection. Users have up to five hours of listening time on a single charge, plus an extra 24 hours with the charging case.
Users can expect three hours of extra playtime with only 15 minutes of charging. The Apple AirPods are slated to launch sometime in 2017 for $159. More updates and details are expected soon.
