‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Updates: New ‘Nearby Tracking ‘ Feature Starts To Propagate To More Countries

The much-awaited improvement “Pokemon Go” players have been waiting for may finally be within reach. Niantic is slowly spreading the new ‘nearby tracking’ feature, one of the most requested improvements for the hit augmented reality game.

The ‘nearby tracking’ feature for “Pokemon Go” initially started around San Francisco. The same feature was eventually introduced to the United Kingdom and now more regions may get the coveted pocket monster tracking aid.

Niantic announced that the latest "Pokemon Go" ‘nearby tracking’ feature will continue to spread towards other regions in the United States and Europe, Neurogadget reported. Though it may not still be global, Niantic continues to apply a careful approach to make sure that they got the script right.

Niantic will reportedly keep tabs on the progress of the “Pokemon Go” nearby tracking feature and wait for feedback from players. Compared to the current nearby tracking feature, the new one reportedly is more helpful to players who will be directed to where the critters are at.

Spawn rates are reportedly increasing as well, even suggesting more sightings of “Snorlax”. Aside from the improved "Pokemon Go" nearby tracking, bug fixes are also expected to come along with it. A fix for loading issues is expected, something Niantic admits they are working on.

Folks who have had the privilege of using the ‘nearby tracking’ feature for “Pokemon Go” have reportedly incurred problems already. Regardless, there are other ways to properly track down the Pokemon with the help of the Global Nest Atlas. This was covered a bit in a previous post.

The software collects data gathered from the Pokemon Community which will eventually be made into a shareable chart. With the reference, the nest atlas should come in handy for “Pokemon Go” players in determining which spawns would pop up in certain areas.

Technically, Global Nest Atlas is a third-party app which Niantic may frown upon. Hence, using it in lieu of a buggy nearby tracking system carries risks – all depending on the “Pokemon Go” player behind the controllers.
