Rare studio announced that from December 16-18, the first technical Alpha play session for "Sea Of Thieves" available for Insider Program gamers. Thousands had been signed up but only 1,000 players will be allowed to be part of the first test.
Technical Alpha will consist of scheduled playtests series that invites several gamers to play "Sea Of Thieves" and give feedback regarding its gameplay. However, players will have to agree to a non-disclosure agreement that forbids them to share the details of the test. As part of its progress, Rare studio will constantly increase the player base and offer more time to play.
"Sea Of Thieves" is a game about hunting treasures, but that is not a simple job. The key point of the game is the navigation. You will have your crew owning a treasure map, a compass, and other tools that can help you in many ways. But the game will not give you any indicator that tells you the right directions, you have to figure it out for yourself using the map.
For you to find the Technical Alpha's treasure in the game, you have to compare the map to the wider area map which is located in the bowels of your ship. The "Sea Of Thieves" game provides a larger overview of the local islands and ports. Once you have found that certain place, it's time to find the treasure.
To spice up the game, other players' crew will try to steal the treasure from you that leads into naval combat. If you survived, you will able to sell the treasure to the vendor at the port. Technical Alpha has an ability to revive someone from death players with the help of ghost captain Ferry of the Damned. In addition, there will be mermaids who can recover lost ships.
