While "Attack on Titan" Season 2 has already been much delayed, fans have all the reasons to be excited as the hit anime is now confirmed for an April 2017 release. Even though the show sequel has already been postponed a couple of times, fans are still looking forward to what is in store for them in "Attack on Titan" Season 2.
Release Delay
The first season of "Attack on Titan" ran from April to September 2013. While the anime had been very successful, the sequel was postponed numerous times. There was a previous promise that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will be released on November 2014, which did not happen. A 2016 release date was promised as well, but was not delivered. After three years, fans are now really clamoring for "Attack on Titan" Season 2.
Both Crunchyroll and Funimation have streamed "Attack on Titan" Season 1 in Japan. The latter released the season in video form two years ago. The first season of "Attack on Titan" was also adapted into two movies, released in 2014 and 2015. These prove the success of the franchise, confusing fans with the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 release delay.
Major Character Death
"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is expected to finally reveal the mysteries surrounding the powers of Eren and the Titans. The soldiers would then launch an attack that will defeat the Titans, sacrificing many lives for the sake of the others. "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is also said to feature the death of a major character.
The major death in "Attack on Titan" Season 2 would be that of Erwin Smith, the Commander of the 13th Scout Regimen. He will then appear on only one episode in the new season. Smith's death will motivate Eren to defeat that Titans that live in the other side of the wall. With all these exciting promises, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is truly a gift for the fans.
