Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been separated for months, after the "Maleficent" actress filed for divorce back in September. However, they are still fighting for the custody of their six children until now.
In a report from USA Today, Brad Pitt allegedly tried to seal the details about the child custody of his kids with Angelina Jolie. The "Allied" actor reportedly asked for an emergency meeting from the judge this Wednesday on Los Angeles court.
However, Superior Court Richard Burge Jr. denied the petition of the "World War Z" actor, as his request did not meet the requirements for sealing the details of the child custody arrangements with his pending divorce from the "By The Sea" actress.
Eversince Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from the Brad Pitt, she had the physical custody of the six children, which is why Pitt came to a motion after Jolie's lawyers filed documents regarding the voluntary and temporary custody of the kids. As of now, Pitt can visit their children under the guidance of a therapist.
Meanwhile, a celebrity divorce layer named Peter Walzer said that the purpose of filing the said documents follows the desire of a party to change the current custody agreement that they stand in. But, the agreement can only be put into place when there is a court order.
"If it is just an agreement it is not enforceable without a court order," Walzer said in an interview. "Monitored visitation is a super-serious deal and it needs to be part of the court record and (under) court supervision and enforcement in case there is a violation (of the agreement)."
The report further suggested that Brad Pitt is still fighting with Angelina Jolie in court to have the custody of his children too, whether it could be joint custody. Pitt also wants to be beside his kids as they grow up.
