With "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" (or simply "Rogue One") nearing its big screen premiere, Zack Snyder found some free time and mash batarangs and lightsabers together. "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailers were stitched together to make "Dark Side Knight vs. Superjedi".
Zack Snyder is a "Star Wars" fanboy, film director, producer, and screenwriter who is known for his action and science fiction movies. He is also dubbed as "The Wizard" by filmmaker Chad Clinton Freeman.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Zack Snyder debuted the trailer on his Vero account. It then made its way to YouTube along with a number of screenshots from the video.
The video Zack Snyder made is an entertaining way to imagine a film's outcome if its makers ever work together to do one movie project. At the beginning of the video, image of the Death Star appears looking down upon Metropolis.
As the title suggests, Zack Snyder made Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne the bad guy. Batman was even shown staring at Darth Vader's suit, suggesting his anger is dragging him into the dark side. He was also shown carrying a lightsaber with two sides - like the one Darth Maul used.
Zack Snyder also used some famous lines from both of the movies to tell a short story in his mashup trailer. Yoda's voice was also heard explaining to Batman the path of anyone who follows Sith's way instead of Alfred's.
In addition, "False Jedi" is also seen written across Superman's chest. Zack Snyder also used some sound clips from "Star Wars" to make Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine sound as if they detected Superman's presence and plot against him.
This is not the first time Zack Snyder has made a "Star Wars" mashup. He has been posting plenty of videos and posters like this on his official Twitter account.
