NBC finally announced the release date of television adaptation of the DC Comic's "Powerless" comedy series which was initially planned to be released last fall but was pushed further to 2017. The half-hour workplace comedy series about an insurance company in America will start airing on Feb. 2, 2017, Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
Variety reports that DC Comic's "Powerless", the comedy series will take over the time slot of another NBC comedy series "The Good Place." "Powerless" will take place in the same DC Universe as Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman as well as supervillains like Lex Luther, Jack O'Lantern and Crimson Fox are all expected to make a cameo or an appearance.
DC Comic's "Powerless" will focus on the character Emily Locke as she begins her first day as the Director of Research and Development for Wayne Security, which is part of Bruce Wayne's Wayne Enterprises. The comedy series will also deal with the damages the Super Heroes and Super-Villains has done according to Comic Book.
Emily Locke and her department in DC Comic's "Powerless" will specialize in making products for normal citizens to protect themselves and make them feel much safer. Locke is identified as a confident and has big ideas for their company but will realize that her expectations will exceed for her new boss and colleagues and learning their full potential that they don't need to have superpowers to be a hero.
Disney alum, Vanessa Hudgens will lead star in the DC Comic's "Powerless" as Emily Locke together with Danny Pudi as her best friend, Teddy. The new boss of the department Del Heller will be played by Alan Tudyk and Christina Kirk will play the superhero fanatic Jackie.
