'The Silver Case' News & Update: Grasshopper Manufacture Announces Release Date for PlayStation 4, Trailer Here

Way back in 1999, Grasshopper Manufacture's adventure visual novel video game called "The Silver Case" first debuted and just this October, debuted on PC via Steam, GOG, and The Humble Store. This 2017, fans of the game will enjoy playing it on PlayStation 4.

The news comes via Eurogamer, which reports that Grasshopper Manufacture announces release date for "The Silver Case" on PlayStation 4. The game will see an arrival to PlayStation 4 this April 18 in North America, and April 21 in European and Australian territories. What's even more exciting is that "The Silver Case" will be released in both digital and physical formats.

For those who are looking to purchase from the NIS America's European online store, there will be a collector's edition of "The Silver Case," which includes a manga, a soundtrack CD, and an art book on top of the copy of the game.

"The Silver Case" has had a lengthy history, as it first debuted on PSone in Japan back in 1999. The game is a product of the imagination of Grasshopper founder and Killer7 director Suda 51, but never found its way to the west until now. Suda collaborated with Active Gaming Media for the October release on PC.

According to Destructoid, "The Silver Case" will differ from the other games Suda is best known form, as it will not contain any action or bloodshed. Another fun fact is that once "The Silver Case" arrives to PlayStation 4, the console will be the first to host both Grasshopper's oldest and newest title. Its latest release comes in the form of the free-to-play survival action game called "Let It Die."
