"PaRappa the Rapper Remastered" for PlayStation 4 was announced at PlayStation Experience 2016 with a 2017 launch window, but it seems we won't have to wait for long. According to the listing at the PlayStation Store, the remastered version is releasing on March 28, 2017.
The overview for "PaRappa the Rapper Remastered" states that all the songs and funky characters from the original game will return. Along with that, PlayStation lists its release date as March 28, though the company hasn't made the official announcement yet.
What To Expect In "PaRappa the Rapper Remastered"
According to Gamenguide, "PaRappa the Rapper Remastered" will include 4K support on PS4 Pro and 1080p support on PS4. The game itself will have remastered hi-res textures, improved audio and more alternative audio tracks.
There are two new features in "PaRappa the Rapper Remastered", which are "Feel the Beat" and "See the Beat." In "Feel the Beat," the controller vibrates to the beat of the song. "See the Beat" on the other hand lets players expand the player icon to hit the beat accurately.
"LocoRoco Remastered" & "Patapon Remastered" Release Dates
Meanwhile, PlayStation.com doesn't have a product listing for "LocoRoco Remastered" yet, but there is one for "Patapon Remastered." The release date for the remastered version of "Patapon" listed at PlayStation is on December 31, 2017. "Patapon Remastered" has six key features, including Strategic Gaming, Rhythm and Action Collide, Mission Variety, 2160p Reso, Music and Mini-Games. Five music-based mini-games will let players gain upgrades and bonuses so they can customize the Patapon warriors further. Again, PlayStation is yet to confirm the game's official release date, including "PaRappa the Rapper Remastered."
A free demo of "PaRappa the Rapper Remastered" is available on the PlayStation Store North America and PlayStation Store Europe. For now, we'll just have to wait for Sony and PlayStation's official announcement.
