"Resident Evil 7" latest Midnight update unlocked access to all of the demo's features including three endings. Here are the tips and tricks in solving one of the three endings, dubbed as Bad Ending.
Bad Ending is the plain ending that players have always had access to. This has not changed at all, aside from the fact that, now, it is known as the Bad Ending. The steps are not difficult and they are fairly straight forward.
Steps To Unlock Bad Ending In "Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour" Demo
First, go out of the starting room. Starting room is the one you wake up in, with the television. Make your way down the hallway to your left. Your goal is to make your way through the kitchen, and down the hallway and further to the door into the room filled with rotting meat. You will see that there is another door in here that appears to link to the outside, but is locked for now, says IGN.

Get the bolt cutters and make your way back to the kitchen. After that, just outside of the kitchen doorway, you will notice that there is a cabinet that has been chained shut. In here, use the bolt cutters and grab the Derelict House Footage VHS tape you will find inside. Make your way back to the starting room, and insert the VHS tape into the VCR.
Let the entire Derelict House Footage play. During the flashback, follow Pete to the VHS player room. Pete will direct you to locate a secret passage via the fireplace. As soon as the flashback is over, you will find yourself back in the present. As soon as you are done watching, you will by this time know about the secret hidden in the starting room, according to Eurogamer.
Open the passage via the same fireplace switch. Slip into the crawlspace and you will find the Back Door Key. Grab the key and make your way back to the room full of rotten meat. Use this on the back door near where you found the Bolt Cutters. Unlock the backdoor, and make your way as you solve the Bad Ending.
