A new set of TV adaptation of manga series and some sequels to existing anime projects are scheduled to hit the television beginning January 2017. Included in the sequels are season 2 for "One Punch Man" and for "Attack on Titan."
Premiering on January 4th, the "Masamune-kun no Revenge" is a manga that focuses on Makabe Masamune, whose huge size makes him the favorite subject of teasing by young lad Aki Adagaki. Determined to make some revenge, he laboriously followed a strict diet to trim down. Developed by Hazuki Takeoka, "Masamune-kun no Revenge" is about high school romance.
A light novel, "Youjo Senki" is an action and gender bender. It is a tad different such that the setting is during wartime where a young girl, Tanya Degurechaff, becomes the commander of an army. In reality however, Tanya Degurechaff is an elite wage earner who was reborn into a girl after earning the fury of a being who labels himself as "God." "Youjo Senki" is scheduled for showing on January 6th along with "Fuuka."
Illustrated by Kouji Seo, "Fuuka" is a romantic comedy of high schoolers, Yuu Hruna and Fuuka Akitsuki. It is said to be a sequel to "Suzuka," another creation of Seo.
Another manga TV adaptation is the "Hand Shakers" which is set for premier on January 11th. The story is about Tazuna and Koyori, who are brought to a parallel universe called Ziggurat. In order for them to get out, they must battle with each other until they reach the top, where the ultimate foe is a "god" who could grant a wish.
Showing on January 13th, "Kuzu no Honkai" is yet another romantic story of two students whose love is unrequited. Mugi and Hanabi try to find solace from each other while nursing their broken hearts, but promise not to shift their love towards each other.
