Konami may not have experienced the same kind of popularity as EA’s FIFA 14, but that certainly doesn’t mean the team will stop supporting all those who actually got hold of its own footballer, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014. Konami has released a brand new patch for the Xbox 360 version of the game, bringing back online functionality.
The new patch, as detailed by a recent press release from Konami, has been pushed out, and removes all the online bugs that saw Xbox 360 players unable to access the game’s multiplayer offering.
Apart from offering full online functionality to the game, the company states that the update “can be automatically installed from within PES 2014, and delivers an online mode and Master League Online service, and also rectifies previous issues with updating the game via KONAMI data-packs.”
Moreover, “A full 11-Vs-11 Online mode is currently in beta and will be available in the coming weeks. Additionally, users can expect to see another Data Pack update in November that will include over 800 player face updates, updated rosters and improvements based on user feedback.”
With all the bugs affecting the game and Konami now looking to fix all those issues, the company states that it “is extremely grateful for the patience and understanding shown by PES 2014 users affected by the issues.” It was also revealed that future DLCs for the game, looking to bolster the performance of the game, will also be announced and pushed out shortly.
Additionally, Konami has also announced that the signups for the new PES Online beta is now open and players who sign up will be offered as many as 4,000 Codes and 10,000 MLO points for the first 4,000 sign ups.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 boasts exclusive licenses for AFC Champions League, the Argentine Primera Division, Chilean Primera Division, Copa Sudamericana and Recopa Sudamericana. It also holds full licenses for the coveted UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup competitions (which are obviously missing from EA’s FIFA venture).
The game was released back in Sept. 20 for UK and Sept. 24 for North America for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
