Years after the release of "Avatar," fans will finally get a chance to see the world of Pandora once again. With that, the upcoming "Avatar 2" could bring back the intriguing characters of the sci-fi franchise, such as Sigourney Weaver's Dr. Grace Augustine.
Sigourney Weaver Hints At Her Return For "Avatar 2"
It was teased that Weaver will be returning the franchise, despite her character's death. The past installment of the "Avatar" franchise showed the unfortunate fate of Dr. Grace Augustine, which is why there is a lot of curiosity as to how "Avatar 2" could present her return.
Weaver herself confirmed that she has been in discussion with "Avatar 2" director James Cameron. According to Variety, she explained she could be present in the upcoming sequels of the movie series. "I was looking ahead at the four Avatar sequels looming over me, and the idea of doing a small, intimate picture that was all about relationships was very appealing," she said.

However, fans are wondering about how "Avatar 2" will bring back the character. Reddit users have posted their theories on how Dr. Grace Augustine will return to the story. A speculation stated that since Dr. Grace Augustine's mind was still working when she was transferred to Ewya. Though Weaver's character may still need time to heal, there is a lot of excitement regarding her presence in the new installments.

In a way, she could become the new Eywa, giving her character a lot of responsibility for the future installments. Meanwhile, Weaver teased that "Avatar 2" will bring a lot of interesting elements to the storyline. She explained that upon reading the scripts of the upcoming installments, Cameron definitely put some playful plotlines for fans to enjoy.
