Android 7.0 Nougat is reportedly set on rolling out to more OEMs before the year ends. Apparently, several handset are reportedly having delays with receiving the OS update. Moreover, Nexus owners have reportedly been confirmed a patch and the OS update this month.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 users have reportedly filed a petition to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update as well. On the other hand, several Huawei models are reportedly bound to get the Android 7.0 Nougat as early as January 2017 or as late as March 2017. It has been noted that the Nova and Nova Plus may be getting the update. In addition, the Huawei P9, P9 Plus, P9 lite and the Mate 8 are also slated to run the Android 7.0 Nougat.
Additionally, the Moto G3, Moto E3 and third-generation Moto X are also rumored to be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat but have not appeared in the roll out list by Motorola. However, the Moto G4 Play, G4 and G4 Plus are expected to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat before 2016 ends, Mobipicker reported.
Nexus devices are also slated to get the 650 MB Android 7.0 Nougat beginning Dec. 6, 2016. A security patch is also expected to be delivered on the same date. The handsets that have been confirmed are the Pixel C, Nexus 5X, 6P and Nexus 9.
In other news, the Android 7.0 Nougat was reportedly spotted on the Galaxy Note 5. Apparently, the benchmarking site GFXBench revealed that the OS update works well on the handset. Previously, a beta program of the Android 7.0 Nougat also rolled out on the S7 and S7 Edge, Ubergizmo reported.
The Android 7.0 Nougat Galaxy Note 5 benchmark test is speculated to reveal the upcoming launch of the OS update on the handset. Samsung is reportedly in the final stages of testing for the phablet.
