The company has also stated that the list of supported video cards for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag include Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or better, GT400, GT500, GT600, GT700 series or AMD Radeon HD4870 or better, HD5000, HD6000, HD7000 series.

And also, “Note: Latest GeForce drivers tested: 320.49 for all series. Latest Radeon drivers tested: 13.1 for Radeon HD4000, 13.4 for Radeon HD5000 and above.” However, Laptop versions of these cards may work but are still not officially supported.

The new PC requirements for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has arrived after game's Lead Designer, Jean-Sebasiten Decant recently explained to Polygon why the PC version always arrives last, compared to its console counterparts.

“It all depends on what is the master version," Decant stated. "If for instance, the [Xbox 360] version was the master version, or the PlayStation 3 version was the master version, then we'd need a little bit more time to adapt it for the PC. But we need to finish that other version first."

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is currently scheduled to release this October for Xbox 360, Wii U and PS3, with versions for PS4 and Xbox One arriving later. The PC version will arrive a month later.
