The platform classic game Super Mario Maker is now on handheld with the arrival of 'Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS' last December 2, more than a year after its successful outing with Wii U in 2015.
One of the most highly sought games among Wii and Nintendo users, 'Super Mario Makers 3DS' features the same creation tools, 100 lives mode and the ability to switch between previous art styles.
Prime Features
'Super Mario Maker' for Nintendo 3DS provides limitless supply of side-scrolling 2D Mario courses that players can customized anytime, anywhere according to their level requirements.
The newest 'Super Mario Maker 3DS' provides Coursebot feature that allows players to make their own personal playlist according to the courses they played, created, or received from friends.
The new game paths and options were collated from the millions of Super Mario courses created by Wii U players, which can now be delivered to any Nintendo 3DS handheld whenever users connect to the Internet.
The classic Mario Challenge and Super Mario Challenge still exist in the Nintendo 3DS version.
The 3DS version works just as its predecessor, starting by dropping blocks, enemies, and traps down onto the screen while users' fingers work as fast as their imagination.
What's Out?
While the games allow user to customize designs per level, early buyers of 'Super Mario Maker 3DS' complained that there's no way to share those level on the Internet, according to Mirror
The only way to share these courses is through the 3DS's StreetPass feature, which connects with other 3DS owners that users walk by while the hand-held is in sleep mode.
Without sharing capability, this means that you can't put your levels online for others to play contrary to the primary novelty feature of most, if not all, Wii U games.
Just in time for the Holiday Season, the newest 'Super Mario Maker 3DS' was priced at $39.99 in the US and 49.99 in Canada.
