Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag confirmed for PC, deploying anchor on Nov. 19

Finally, the day PC-based Assassin’s Creed fans have waiting for so eagerly. Ubisoft has confirmed that the next title in line – Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag – will be heading over to PC on Nov. 19.

“Experience the brash, brutal, and adventurous life of pirates in Assassins Creed IV Black Flag. Take part in the incredible story of Captain Edward Kenway, a pirate trained by assassins, and establish a lawless republic in The Caribbean while searching for gold and glory with the help of history's most infamous pirates including Blackbeard, Charles Vane, Calico Jack and Anne Bonny,” the official press release for the same states.

Additionally, it has also been revealed that fans now will be able to rate each mission in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag as they play along. As Ubisoft told Eurogamer in a recent interview, the basic idea behind this feature “is to be able to get the input of our players on their appreciation of each mission,"

"The rating is anonymous and is sent to our servers to be analysed,” Assassin's Creed 4 associate producer Sylvain Trottier stated.

“It's an idea that came out of discussions between our creative director Jean Guesdon and our executive producer Sebastien Puel. It was implemented early in the production, more than one year ago. It's also being used during our playtest sessions to gather the player's feedback."

Later in a Eurogamer hosted video interview (check below), it was revealed that the Rate This Mission is fully optional. "It's a way for our players to tell us directly whether they liked or not the mission. It's a survey if you prefer. It will help us know which missions are the favourites and which one people like less," Trottier revealed, as scripted.

However, he also added that the new system is currently just a “test” and that he was still unsure if the feature will be at all used in titles set for the future.

"Maybe, we don't know," he said. "It's the first time as far as I know that we are doing this. It's a test, we don't know how much data we will collect from there and don't know if people will use it or not but we think it was worth trying it to get the direct feedback from our players," Trottier concluded.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is currently scheduled to release this October for Xbox 360, PC, Wii U and PS3, with versions for PS4 and Xbox One arriving later. Check out the full interview below.
