"The Originals" Season 4 has finally been confirmed to return next year, March 17, 2017, promising the viewers with an exciting storyline and new cast. The upcoming season will bring the Mikaelsons new challenges, including friends turned to enemies.
Following Klaus, Elijah and the rest of the Mikealsons in season 3, the family ended up defeated by Marcel. Now in "The Originals" Season 4, Marcel will be seen as the new king who stripped off the Mikaelsons with their power, and domination. It is to be expected that in the coming season, Klaus will be waging war with Marcel for New Orleans.
According to Gamenguide, Hope, Klaus's daughter will carry the burden of saving her family, especially her father who is now a prisoner of Marcel. "The Originals" Season 4 will likely mark the reunion of the Mikaelsons, especially with Klaus and Hope. However, rumors are rife that Marcel will not allow the family to reunite and return to power, instead he plans on finding Hailey's whereabouts to make sure that she can never reach anyone who might help her save the Mikaelsons.

"The Originals" Season 4 will introduce a new character, Keelin, played by Christina Moses, TV Line reports. It is reported that Keelin was once a prisoner of the Mikaelsons, but she managed to hide her identity after her line was haunted. Now, new reports revealed that she will be meeting the Mikaelsons once again.
According to reports, showrunner Julie Plec has announced that Keelin might be the key to solving Hailey's problem in finding the cure.
