Fans continue to speculate on who would play the role of the Green Lantern with the scheduled release of the “Justice League” movie in 2017. Among the names that had cropped up were Ryan Reynolds, Hal Jordan and John Stewart.
Moviegoers are waiting for the release of the trailer of “Justice League” to confirm who would be the actors to play the superheroes, aside from the six known ones. According to Movie Web, Warner Bros released a trailer of “Justice League” over the summer during the San Diego Comic-Con, but it was just a mashup.
Questionable Authenticity Of Trailer
Besides, since the potential information about the trailer came from a 4Chan anonymous post, its authenticity is under question. It said Superman, Mera, Vulko and Gordon would not appear in the trailer of “Justice League,” but Aquaman would.
The Zack Snyder-director movie “Justice League” is set for release on Nov. 17, 2016, and would include Ben Affleck in the role of Batman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Gal Gadot as Wonderwoman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Ezra Miller as The Flash. Newseveryday cites rumors that Green Lantern would be played by Jamie Dornan who was Christian Grey in the erotic hit movie “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Other Possible Green Lantern Actors
However, Movie Web reports that Armie Hammer, star of The Lone Ranger, also teased in a tweet that he might be a part of the DC Extended Universe and play Hal Jordan’s version of Green Lantern. But it does not rule out the possibility that he would be in “Justice League” as Green Lantern because of his good relationship with Warner Bros since he was part of “The Man From U.N.C.L.E. movie with Henry Cavill who plays Superman in the 2017 movie.
