Christmas came early to the fans of the original series "Sense8". On Saturday, Netflix has confirmed the comeback of the much-awaited series. And not only that, they will also release a Christmas Special offering.
As confirmed on the official Twitter account of "Sense8", the two-hour Christmas Special will be available to stream on December 23 and the sequel of the sci-fi show will premiere on May 5, 2017.
However, with this announcement, a lot of anticipating fans shared their dismay on Twitter due to the longer months they need to wait to actually watch the second season. It's indeed a great strategy for Netflix to release a Christmas Special.

The sci-fi drama "Sense8" is an Emmy-nominated from Lana and Lilly Wachowski who created the "The Matrix" and the creator of "Babylon 5" J. Michael Straczynski. Buzzfeed reported that Lilly won't be joining the show's second season to focus on her well-being. In a statement of the show's executive producer Jamie Clayton said, "Lilly needed to take some time off".
"Sense8" season 1 is the story of eight strangers (aka "Sensates") starring Toby Onwumere as Capheus, Tina Desai as Kala, Miguel Angel Silvestre as Lito, Jamie Clayton as Nomi, Tuppence Middleton as Riley, Donna Bae as Sun, Brian J. Smith as Will, and Max Riemelt as Wolfgang, scattered around the globe, who found out that they are spiritually, emotionally, and mentally linked to each other. To effectively present the diverse characters' worlds, the show was filmed in different countries which include America, England, Korea, India, Gremany, Kenya, and Mexico.
On this upcoming second season, the new ten-episode series will start at the end of season 1's events where Sensates find themselves on the run from Whispers (Terrence Mann) after their physical meeting. The eight are seeking ways to survive and protect each other along the way, Entertainment Weekly reports. Stay tuned for more Gamenguide update.
