Pangu continues to be mum on an iOS 10 jailbreak release with the Apple Jailbreaking Community keeping close tabs. Recent weeks have ramped up possibilities and most are eagerly waiting.
Pangu has been expectedly mum on its plans. But the heat is expected to pick up once Apple releases the iOS 10.2 this month. Already on its fourth beta, the Cupertino company may be forced to roll out the iOS 10 jailbreak soon seeing how most are plagued with problems with recent iOS 10 updates.
The recent flaw is tied up to the iOS 10.1.1 and the battery issues on iPhones. Reports are coming in that iPhones have been shutting down at 30 percent for some reason.
Apple recently addressed the issue and said that all of it was a feature they purposely installed, Slash Gear reported. The problem is that there are discrepancies with the Cupertino company stating that iPhone 6s shutdowns happen only when battery levels reach 40 percent and not 30 as previously reported.
Either way, this could push Apple to roll out iOS 10.2 earlier than expected with the fixes for the battery drain problem. From that point forward, most will be waiting for Pangu’s move. But now the question is will it come?
The Chinese hacking group has been known to hold off on any iOS jailbreak release in the past. With Apple aggressively releasing iOS updates as of late, such could be a factor when considering an iOS 10 jailbreak release.
Select Apple users have continued to defy the warnings of Apple when it comes to applying modifications to iPhones or iPads, Neurogadget reported. This voids warranty though the list has been whittled down to iOS 10.2 by the Cupertino company.
Apple device owners who have been shut out of the iOS update circle are likely the ones waiting for an iOS 10 jailbreak. Unless Pangu does something, it is once again touch-and-go from here.
