So long killstreaks, Activision has revealed that the instead oin their placee in Call of Duty: Ghosts, players will earn perks this time around in the game's multiplayer mode.
To discuss the newly introduced perk system in place of the earlier existing killstreaks, there is a brand new video making the rounds from a random fan, who somehow has a perfect hold of how the in-game perks will come into play as soon as you kick off the multiplayer.
The video (see below) shows that players are entitled to receive one perk for every two kills they make. Similarly, when you make eight kills, you will receive a bonus as you receive four perks automatically when you make that many amounts of kills.
The player is entitled to receive eight points worth of perks for eight kills, allowing the player to gather up to 22 points and a maximum of 16 perks. This is due to the fact that the player, as a Gamingbolt report states, “can’t select 1 point perks again. Where the video differs is in explaining how you can’t select certain perks, when in actuality those that aren’t selectable have either been chosen as your base eight perks or are too expensive.”
The advantages here are many, “including being able to resupply grenades when in mid-life stage. However, there are that this could slightly unbalance things given that high value perks like Deadeye cost less to equip. Also, the value of perks you receive with 2, 4 and 6 kills isn’t very important.”
Call of Duty: Ghosts is scheduled for a Nov. 5 launch on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, with the game also heading over to next generation consoles later this year. Check out the video below.
