Telltale Games will be releasing "The Walking Dead" season 3 on Dec. 20. The premiere episode for the upcoming season of the episodic game titled "A New Frontier" will have two parts.
The game developer has issued a trailer for the upcoming video game at The Games Awards 2016. Titled "The Ties That Bind," the video gives a sneak peek of the storyline of the game which focuses on a new character named Javier. In "The Walking Dead" season 3, his struggle after his grandfather turned into a zombie is shown in the footage.
"The Walking Dead" season 3 is set four years after the zombie outbreak started. Clementine who was present since the first season of the video game will still be playable next season. She and Javier will be working together in season 3. Though they are not directly related, their experiences will bring them closer to each other.
Clementine and Javier will be working and fighting together to protect themselves and their family. The latter is eager to look for his family which was taken away from him since the incident with his grandfather in "The Walking Dead" season 3. Watch the trailer for the upcoming season below!
"The Walking Dead" season 3 "A New Frontier" includes five episodes. The first two episodes will be accessible starting Dec. 20. The three remaining episodes are reserved for release in 2017. Gamers can download the rest of the episodes next year, as per VG247.
Those who pre-order "The Walking Dead" season 3 will a free copy of "The Walking Dead: Michonne" and "The Walking Dead: Season 2," as per GameSpot. iOS, Android, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC gamers can access the title this holiday season.
