The Pro Evolution Soccer series is basically a runners up to the famed EA-based FIFA series, with the company releasing a version each year, and 2014 is no different. Now, according to reports, Konami has unveiled the complete list of the game modes that will be featured in its latest title in the series, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014.
Konami has revealed four main categories: Match, Football Life, Competition and Training.
The first category – Match – offers Exhibition matches that include the likes of Clubs/National Teams, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Copa Libertadores and AFC Champions League. Under Match, there are options of Ranking Match, Friendly Match Lobby, TeamPlay Lobby, and an option to watch exhibition matches with similar options as that of the original Exhibition Match.
The second category, Football Life, is basically the career mode that features Master League, Become a Legend and Master League Online.
The third category, Competition, includes UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Copa Libertadores, AFC Champions League, Online Competition, Cup and League.
Lastly, the Training option offers Performance Training and Free Training for players to get more used to the in-game controls and physics.
Additionally, Konami has also announced on Twitter that Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 has now received a demo on the PlayStation Network, and that it will be releasing for all territories. It is yet to be found out as to which are the teams that will be featured in the demo version of the game.
It was revealed back in July that the company is looking ahead to add more glamour to the franchise with the introduction of the new Pro Evolution Soccer. The details were revealed when Konami welcomed members of the PES community and journalists for a presentation of PES 2014 on July 4 and 5.
It was stated at that time that the game will be arriving with a new stat system that will use a combined stat page to equate values. Moreover, goalkeepers are set to have their own stats as well, and that a new system would be implemented to prevent cheaters.
“From the moment football fans pick up the controller and experiment with the close control, player movement and get to know how teams work and move, we are confident that they will see a game no longer limited by technology, but capable of growing with them and constantly surprising with the breath-taking quality they have to come to expect from the real thing," the official page states.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is currently planned for a Sept. 20 release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
