"Pokémon GO" was reported to be preparing for the release of its Christmas event this December. It was said that Niantic Labs will be offering in-game bonuses and other treats for the holiday-themed adventure.
Sources shared that there is a high chance that the upcoming "Pokémon GO" Christmas event would be similar to the previous events like the Halloween and Thanksgiving. The similarity may be related to XP and added pocket monsters.
Likewise, trainers may expect the "Pokemon GO" holiday offering to give them more XPs and Stardust through a special activity. Or perhaps, they can be earned in the usual way but the points gained would be doubled up.
There were also rumors that the "Pokemon GO" Christmas event will spawn select monster characters like Snorlax, Seel, Staryu, Clefairy, Starmie and Seel. Snorlax is an elusive Pokemon so this holiday event will be a blast for many trainers.
Further, the "Pokemon GO" Christmas update may also be a time when legendary Pokemon like Motres, Zapdos and Articuno. are going to be around more frequently or they will finally be seen in the game. Their appearance means more bonuses since they are considered special species in the Pokemon world.
For trainers, to make sure that you can get all the benefits from the "Pokemon GO" Christmas event, one thing to remember is to collect as many Pidgey as you can. As most players already know, Pidgeys are the best source to get XPs, plus it can be used to get to Ditto as well.
In any case, there are also reports that Gen 2 Pokemon might make an appearance in "Pokemon GO" Christmas update. If this will really happen, players will most likely to encounter Baby Pikachu, Umbreon, Pichu, Blissey, Espeon, Umbreon and Slowking.
The "Pokemon GO" Christmas event is coming in three weeks time, however there is no official announcement with regards to the exact content of the add-on yet. Trainers must wait a little bit more to get precise update about this holiday event.
