"The Originals" Season 4 will be taking over the timeslot of its mother series “The Vampire Diaries” after its series finale airs. The spinoff has been plagued by cancellation series ever since TVD was announced to be ending its run. All the talks and speculations have led to the rumor that Caroline will be moving to New Orleans to rekindle her aborted romance with Klaus.
"The Originals" Season 4 spoilers have been hinting Caroline (Candice King) making the move to New Orleans once the original series from which she came from comes to an end. This speculation was even bolstered by EP Julie Plec’s teasing of a possible crossover between the two shows even if TVD will be going off the air soon.
Many fans of “The Originals” Season 4 are of the belief that for the cancellation rumors to stop, Caroline has to move to New Orleans to continue her romance with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). It has already been reported that a character from Mystic Falls will be appearing in the spinoff series. The character was later revealed to be Alaric Saltzman who is said to appear in episode 8 of the upcoming season.
Fans have been very vocal in their wish that the next character they will see doing the crossover in “The Originals” Season 4 will be none other than Caroline and make “Klaroline” come into full swing. They believe that if the show needs saving from cancellation, this is the best way to do it. According to reports, the show has not been doing very well in the ratings and the coming season can mean renewal or cancellation for the series.
In a related news, Nina Dobrev is also being said to appear in “The Originals” Season 4 but she will not be playing her iconic TVD role of Elena Gilbert. Instead, she will reportedly play the role of Tatia, another doppelganger who might be able to help the Mikaelson family in the dire situation they are in.
The previous season ended with Klause being stabbed by Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) with Papa Tunde’s knife. The other Mikaelsons were put to sleep for them to be saved from their ultimate doom. Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and her daughter Hope will try to find a cure for Marcel’s werewolf bite he used on Elijah and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic). It has been reported that Hope will be a lot older in “The Originals” Season 4.
