"Justice League Dark" team has done the best that they can to make the movie PG-13. But there are just things that they cannot get away. In recent interview by the film's director, Jay Olivia, told Empire that "if I knew that I could get away with a rated R, I would have made it a hard R." She explained further that the production team's goal is PG-13, as this movie is designed for older viewers. As the title portrays, the movie features more violent scenes that are not really advisable for ages below 13.
Clearly, "Justice League Dark" team didn't intend to make the film Rated R and has made ways to be as possibly as PG-13 as it can for it has always been their goal to make it PG-13. Stay tuned for more Gamenguide update.
