‘Pokemon Sun And Moon’ Latest News & Update: Pokemon Moves Memento, Parting Shot Causes Glitch; Nintendo Bans Pokemon Moves

A "Pokemon Sun and Moon" glitch pushed Nintendo to issue a temporary ban on two Pokemon moves. Players will not be able to use Memento and Parting Shot until a fix has been deployed.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" players will not have any access to the Pokemon moves Memento and Parting Shot during online battles. After receiving player feedback on how using the two moves resulted in a glitch, Nintendo placed a temporary ban until Game Freak can deploy a patch to address the problem, according to Serebii.

Several "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players experienced game crashes after using the Z-powered version of any of the two Pokemon moves. Given the glitch, Nintendo temporarily removed the said two Pokemon moves from Battle Spot, Free Battles, Rating Battles and upcoming online battles.

At this point, it is still unclear if Game Freak will be able to release a game patch before the year ends. Neither Nintendo nor the game developer has yet to comment on the news.

Meanwhile, Memento and Parting Shot will still be available for use in "Pokemon Sun and Moon's" single player mode. Gamers can opt to use the Pokemon move Parting Shot to lower an opponent's normal and special attacks as it switches out a Pokemon with another creature from the trainer's party. Moreover, the said Pokemon move's Z-powered version can replenish the health points of the replacement Pokemon.

Similar to the Z-powered version of the Parting Shot, the Z-Memento Pokemon move can also replace a creature's health points. However, using a non-Z Memento move can significantly lower a target's attack and special attack stats. The said Pokemon move can also induce a fainting spell once a user activates Memento.

In other news, the soundtrack for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" has been released on iTunes and contains 169 tracks, according to Digital Spy. With a variety of sound effects, songs, as well as jingles, the soundtrack costs £8 (around $10).

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" was released on Nov. 18 for the Nintendo 3DS. Watch the game's trailer below:
