OnePlus 4 has become a favorite subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet for quite some time now. However, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer decided to launch the upgraded version of its current flagship OnePlus 3 called, OnePlus 3T. Many fans were disappointed especially those who are hoping that the company would announce the successor of its current flagship smartphone. Nonetheless, new reports have emerged suggesting that OnePlus 4 might arrive in the market sooner than expected.
Previous reports suggested that OnePlus 4 will be launched a year after its predecessor was released, which was in June this year. If rumors prove to be true, tech fans can expect the new flagship smartphone from OnePlus to come out in June or July next year.
There are also speculations suggesting that the Chinese firm might skip OnePlus 4 and jump straight to OnePlus 5. The rumors were sparked after the co-founder of OnePlus Carl Pei said during an AMA Reddit session that the idea might just happen in the future. During the event, the OnePlus head was asked if the company plans to change the numbering scheme of its flagship device following the release of OnePlus 3T, Pei did not rule out the idea. There are also rumors saying that the company might consider a new T branding after the launching of OnePlus 3T.
Meanwhile, despite the lack of information with regard to the development and release date of OnePlus 4, several reports have already revealed the possible specs of the new flagship smartphone. According to the report, the device will run on a Snapdragon 830 processor from Qualcomm paired with 8 GB of RAM. The handset will also arrive in two variants, which will differ in storage capacities - 64 GB and 128 GB.
